No. Citation Safe is a verification tool. It tells you what we found in primary sources; decisions about your filing are yours and your counsel's. No attorney-client relationship is created.
What does "UNCONFIRMED" mean?+
We could not confirm the citation in the sources we checked as of the timestamp shown. It may be outside our coverage (see the coverage map at /quality) — it does not automatically mean the case is fake. We tell you exactly which sources we checked.
How accurate is it?+
Our nightly benchmark against a database of confirmed-fake and confirmed-real citations is published live at /quality. Target false-verify rates: under 0.1% on existence, under 1% on quotes, under 5% on proposition support. If we stamp VERIFIED on a paid check and we're wrong, you get an automatic refund.
Is my document confidential?+
By default we keep only citation metadata and a cryptographic hash — not your document text. Document history is opt-in. Do not submit information you are not permitted to share; see our Terms.
