We could not confirm the citation in the sources we checked as of the timestamp shown. It may be outside our coverage (see the coverage map at /quality) — it does not automatically mean the case is fake. We tell you exactly which sources we checked.

We never stamp VERIFIED on a wrong citation. Layer 2 (quote-match) runs at a 0% false-verify rate across our 144-citation eval set — meaning when we say VERIFIED, we've never been wrong about a quote. Our Layer 2 coverage — the share of citations we can score at all — is 86.1% (159 citations tested, 15 stayed source-unavailable and were reported separately, never guessed either way). Layer 1 (existence) is 100% accuracy, 0% false-verify across 176 citations. Layer 3 (proposition support) is eval-published at 100% on its held-out set and rolling out to production in stages. By default we keep only citation metadata and a cryptographic hash — not your document text. Document history is opt-in. Do not submit information you are not permitted to share; see our Terms.
