Fabrication Warranty — Warranty Terms
Version 1.0 (draft) · Effective July 17, 2026
1. What this is — and is not
The Fabrication Warranty (marketed at the URL /sanction-shield) is a warranty offered directly by Digital Empire Holdings LLC, the operator of Citation Safe. It is not an insurance product, is not underwritten by an insurance carrier, and is not sold through an insurance license. Digital Empire Holdings LLC's payment obligation under this warranty is a direct contractual promise, backed by its own funds, not a pooled-risk insurance policy.
2. The promise
If you are an active Fabrication Warranty subscriber in good standing, and a citation you ran through Citation Safe returned a VERIFIED verdict before you filed a brief containing it, and that citation is in fact fabricated — the cited case or authority does not exist — Digital Empire Holdings LLC will pay you up to $2,000. The trigger for payment is our own verification stamp being wrong, not any third party's ruling. A court sanction, show-cause order, or adverse finding is not required to file or win a claim — where one exists, it is strong supporting evidence of fabrication, but it is evidence, not the trigger.
3. Conditions that must all be true
- You held an active, paid Fabrication Warranty subscription on the date the brief containing the citation was filed.
- The specific citation was run through Citation Safe's verification tool and the result was VERIFIED — not UNCONFIRMED, not NOT_FOUND, and not a result you overrode or ignored.
- You retained and can produce the verification receipt (the Citation Safe record showing the VERIFIED result, its timestamp, and the document it applied to) and the filed brief itself.
- The citation is in fact fabricated — the cited case or authority does not exist — confirmed on Digital Empire Holdings LLC's review. Acceptable evidence includes (but is not limited to) a documented negative search of the primary source, a court's finding that the citation does not exist, or Digital Empire Holdings LLC's own re-verification.
- The claim is submitted within 90 days of you discovering the fabrication.
4. What is explicitly excluded
- Citations marked UNCONFIRMED or NOT_FOUND at any point before filing.
- Citations never run through Citation Safe, or run after the brief was filed.
- Any claim not resting on fabrication of the cited authority itself — for example, procedural violations, discovery misconduct, fee disputes, or a citation whose existence is confirmed but whose relevance or support for a proposition is disputed (the Layer-3 proposition-support signal is advisory and explicitly not a guarantee of legal correctness — see Citation Safe's Terms of Service §1).
- Claims where the subscription had lapsed, been canceled, or gone past-due before the filing date.
5. Payment cap and process
Total payout per claim is capped at $2,000. Digital Empire Holdings LLC reviews each claim on its individual facts; approval is not automatic upon submission. Digital Empire Holdings LLC may request the underlying court filings, the verification receipt, and any documentation supporting fabrication before deciding a claim.
6. Filing a claim pauses new coverage review
The filing of any Fabrication Warranty claim triggers an automatic, same-day internal review of Citation Safe's verification stamp accuracy before any new Fabrication Warranty purchases are confirmed as active coverage, pending the outcome of that review. This protects every subscriber's coverage integrity if a systemic issue is found.
7. Cancellation
You may cancel at any time; coverage ends at the close of the paid annual period. Digital Empire Holdings LLC may decline to renew the Fabrication Warranty for any subscriber at renewal.
8. No legal advice; no attorney-client relationship
The Fabrication Warranty does not create an attorney-client relationship and is not legal advice. It is a financial warranty tied to Citation Safe's verification output only.
