Verify FAR, DFARS, GAO, and gov-contracts case citations

Paste the text of a bid, protest, brief, or memo. Citation Safe for Government Contracts finds FAR clauses (FAR 52.212-4), DFARS clauses (DFARS 252.204-7012), GAO bid-protest decisions (B-421234), and Federal Circuit / Court of Federal Claims case citations, then checks each one against its primary public source. 3 free checks/day, no signup required.

FAR clauses

Checked against acquisition.gov's live FAR text, with a currency/supersession flag.

DFARS clauses

Checked against the current DFARS Part 252 clause index.

GAO decisions

B-number and Comptroller General bid-protest decisions.

Case law

Federal Circuit and Court of Federal Claims citations via CourtListener.

Coverage map

In coverage today: FAR clauses/provisions, DFARS Part 252 clauses, GAO bid-protest decisions (B-number and Comptroller General form), Federal Circuit (F.3d/F.4th) and Court of Federal Claims (Fed. Cl.) case citations. Not yet in coverage: agency-specific FAR supplements beyond DFARS (NASA FAR Supplement, VAAR, etc.), SAM.gov entity/past-performance lookups, and FPDS-NG contract-action records, flagged honestly as a known gap, not silently dropped.

What a verdict looks like

Every citation comes back as one of a fixed set of verdicts, never a paraphrase. Sample output below (not a live result):

FAR 52.212-4 (illustrative example)
VERIFIED -- SUPERSEDED
Clause exists, but the cited revision date no longer matches the version currently in effect at acquisition.gov.

Other verdicts: plain VERIFIED (clause/decision/case exists and is current), NOT FOUND, and SOURCE UNAVAILABLE where the primary source is temporarily unreachable.
